Transfer Articulation Agreements
Definition
Articulation Agreements are special educational agreements that facilitate the transferability of particular A.S., A.A.S or A.A.T. programs at community colleges and other accredited institutions across the state of Hawaiʻi and beyond, into specific B.A. or B.A.S. degrees at UH West Oʻahu. Articulation agreements have been carefully designed by faculty at both institutions and they provide unique educational benefits. For additional information about Articulation Agreements between UH institutions, please see page 3 of the E5.209 Executive Policy.
How to Participate
Students who are interested in one of the transfer articulation agreements listed here must see an academic advisor or counselor at their community college for specific information. In order to be eligible for the special agreement benefits, all students MUST BE IDENTIFIED as participating in an agreement of choice PRIOR TO transferring to UH West Oʻahu.
Students should ASK to meet with someone who is familiar with articulation agreements at their institution. Each of the UH community colleges has specific academic advisors, counselors or even faculty members who can complete and submit an Articulation Verification Form to the UH West Oʻahu Registrar. This form officially identifies articulation students and connects them to a particular agreement.
New agreements are continuously being crafted and all existing agreements are updated regularly. It is the students’ responsibility to have an Articulation Verification Form completed and submitted to UHWO in order to obtain accurate academic advisement and benefit from a preferred agreement.
Current Program Articulation Agreements
The most recent versions of agreements at UH West Oʻahu are listed here by community college. The dates indicate when a particular agreement was signed. Past and expired versions of agreements are located in the articulation archives.
Students should regularly consult with an academic advisor to ensure that articulation option requirements are being properly followed.
