College can be a very difficult & overwhelming time for students. In addition to numerous academic demands, students often encounter various stressors ranging from family concerns, relationship difficulties, financial challenges & social issues to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, substance abuse & anger management difficulties, as well as other emotional, behavioral and physical problems.
As a department of Student Affairs, the mission of UHWO Counseling & Development Services is to promote, in collaboration with the entire UHWO community, the academic success & overall development of our students through the provision of high quality counseling, psychotherapy, consʻltation, education & training.
UHWO Counseling & Development Services provides confidential & time-limited counseling & psychotherapy to UHWO students free of charge. Consultation, education, training & resources are also available to faculty, staff & student groups.
