UH West Oʻahu Student Life Coordinator Rouel Velasco discussed “seeking your excellence” and encouraged community members to envision becoming their best selves during a Hulikoʻa Kaiāulu Scholar Speaker Series event in his hometown of Māʻili on Sept. 15.

The Hulikoʻa Kaiāulu Scholar Speaker Series brings members of the Waiʻanae coast ʻohana together to learn about topics that impact the community and to share with one another. The series is sponsored by the Hawaiʻinuiakea School of Hawaiian Knowledge at UH Mānoa, Kamehameha Schools, and MAʻO Organic Farms.
