Hawaiʻi State Chief Economist Eugene Tian to address microeconomics class, April 20

Hawaiʻi State Chief Economist and President of the Hawaii Economics Association Eugene Tian will discuss “Imperfectly Competitive Economies: Monopolies and Oligopolies” with Dr. Peiyong Patricia Yu’s Principles of Microeconomics class. Dr. Tian will cover Hawaiʻi examples and offer insights based on his research experience at the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT) and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Hawaiʻi natural monopolies and oligopolies.

“Imperfectly Competitive Economies: Monopolies and Oligopolies” with Dr. Eugene Tian happens on Wednesday, April 20 in D140 from 11 a.m.-12:20pm. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend the presentation.
