Noʻeau Center tutors in 2016

The Noʻeau Center is looking for students interested in helping others.

The center, which provides tutoring from peers as part of its mission to support and help students succeed at UH West Oʻahu, is seeking applications for student tutors. This includes writing tutors in all subject areas.

Student tutors have a variety of duties, including one-on-one and group tutoring sessions, presentations about the center and other topics while visiting classes, office duties, and training and tutor meetings. Applicants should have at least a 3.0 grade point average and want to build on their leadership and communications skills as a tutor.

Interested students should download an application or stop by the center in B203. Applicants are asked to provide a cover letter, a completed application form, resume, a recommendation from a professor, and writing sample. Applicants also are interviewed.
