E Ola Pono Week to feature opening of Nāulu Center for Culture, Engagement & Well-being

The Fall E Olo Pono Fair was held in the campus courtyard.

The campus will be treated to culture, health, wellness, and art as the PIKO Project presents E Ola Pono Health & Wellness Week, Monday, April 9, through Friday, April 13.

The events will take place in and around the new Nāulu Center for Culture, Engagement & Well-being at Campus Center, which will celebrate its official opening on Tuesday, April 10, and is included as part of the week’s festivities.  The Pueo Fitness Center will also open.

The events by day are:

Monday

  • Sunrise Snacks from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Campus Center Plaza
  • Creating Moods with Flowers and Colors Workshop: 10 a.m. in the Nāulu Center for Culture, Engagement & Well-being.  Abbie K. Reed will lead this workshop that will provide an opportunity to perpetuate both contemporary and traditional Hawaiian knowledge and wellness while providing educational opportunities for our students, faculty, and staff.

Tuesday

  • Nāulu Center for Culture, Engagement & Well-being opening, 10 a.m., Nāulu Center, Campus Center Plaza.  Food, Entertainment, and presentations along with fellowship. The Pueo Fitness Center will also open.

Wednesday

  • E Ola Pono Health and Wellness Fair. 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Campus Center Plaza and the Nāulu Center for Culture, Engagement & Well-being. Games, food, health resources, vendors, Kipa Aloha, prizes, entertainment, workshops, treadmill challenge, presentations and more.

Thursday

  • Andre Perez Screen Printing, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Nāulu Center, Campus Center Plaza. Bring Your Own Shirt.
  • Yoga, Nāulu Center, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
  • Karaoke Night. , Nāulu Center, 5-9 p.m.

Friday

  • Campus Beautification with Alumni, Great Lawn 9-11 a.m.
