Assistant or Associate Professor (Accounting)

Duties: 
Assistant Professor Duties and Responsibilities:
• This position is responsible for teaching accounting courses in the Business Administration program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching courses in Accounting, developing new courses, providing academic advising, and supervising practicum students and teaching courses using distance education technology. The successful candidate is also expected to conduct research or applied scholarship in the discipline and to participate in faculty governance.

Minimum qualifications: 
Assistant Professor Minimum Qualifications:
• Earned doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, or a related field with an emphasis in Accounting. (ABD candidates are eligible to apply but must complete all degree requirements prior to appointment). Evidence of high quality teaching and potential for conducting relevant scholarly and applied research. Teach distance education courses.

Associate Professor Minimum Qualifications:
• Earned doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, or a related field with an emphasis in Accounting and five years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor. Evidence of high quality teaching and potential for conducting relevant scholarly and applied research. Teach distance education courses. Evidence of publications in peer-reviewed journals in the area of Accounting.

Desirable qualifications: 
Assistant Professor Desirable Qualifications:
• Ability to teach Auditing, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Advanced Accounting, and/or Governmental Accounting. Ability to interact effectively in a multicultural setting, experience teaching diverse populations. Demonstrated ability to teach distance education courses. CPA Certification.

Associate Professor Desirable Qualifications:
• Ability to teach Auditing, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Advanced Accounting, and/or Governmental Accounting. Ability to interact effectively in a multicultural setting, experience teaching diverse populations. Demonstrated ability to teach distance education courses. CPA Certification.

Pay range: Commensurate with experience.
