FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Need financial aid? There’s still time to apply for the fall semester! Visit http://www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete the 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be sure to indicate the UH West O‘ahu school code 014315. For FAFSA assistance, contact the Financial Aid Office at 454-4700 or finaid@uhwo.hawaii.edu.

Financial aid funds will be directly applied to outstanding UH West O‘ahu tuition and fees for the fall semester for students who have been approved for aid. If enrolled at another UH campus, a separate payment is required for those charges. Students should complete a “Concurrent Enrollment Form” at the Student Services Office to apply for courses to be considered for financial aid at other UH campuses.

To determine financial aid and refund status, visit the MyUH Portal and click on the “Financial Aid” link.

The Fall 2009 Census date for financial aid is Monday, Sept. 14. Once the Census arrives, financial aid will be based on the student’s enrollment as of that date. Any enrollment changes after completion of the Census may jeopardize continued eligibility for financial aid.

Want your financial aid refund sooner? Sign up for “eRefunds” online through the MyUH Portal to have the refund directly deposited into your bank account.
