Focus Requirements for Graduation Waived 

Focus Requirements (Hawaiian, Asian & Pacific Issues [HAP], Oral Communication [OC], and Contemporary Ethical Issues [ETH]) for all UH West O‘ahu classified students admitted in spring 2010 or earlier are waived as graduation requirements. Students are strongly encouraged to enroll in courses that meet Focus designations for an enriching and diversified learning experience, however the courses are not required for graduation. For questions about how this may affect your current and future academic planning, contact a Student Services academic advisor at 454-4700.

U-Pass Reduced Rate Bus Pass Available
to UH West O‘ahu Students
U-Pass

Do you ride TheBus? As a UH West O‘ahu student, you are eligible to purchase a U-Pass reduced-rate bus pass tailored to the needs of Hawai‘i’s university students. The pass is valid now – Dec. 31 for $100. Bring your valid student ID to the Dean of Student Services office, room A-108. Passes are available for purchase (cash only) until Sept. 30.

National Honors Society in Psychology Application Deadline Set for Oct. 16

Eligibility Criteria:

- Second-semester sophomore

- Completed 45 units of college courses and nine semester hours of psychology course work (PSY100 not included)

- Minimum 3.25 GPA in psychology and 3.0 overall GPA

FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Are you concurrently enrolled at another UH campus and receiving financial aid through UH West O‘ahu? The final deadline to submit the Concurrent Enrollment form for financial aid is Friday, Oct. 2.

Were you awarded financial aid? Make sure to sign and submit the white copies of your award letters and any additional requirements as soon as possible! The financial aid office will begin cancelling awards due to inaction on Oct. 15.

Need financial aid? Visit http://www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete the 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be sure to indicate the UH West O‘ahu school code 014315. For FAFSA assistance, contact the Financial Aid Office at 454-4700 or finaid@uhwo.hawaii.edu.
