Statistics Placement Test
Effective August 1, 2010, UHWO students will have the option of taking the COMPASS math test to place into statistics. Accuplacer will no longer be administered; however, previous Accuplacer scores will be accepted for placement into a UHWO Statistics class (BUSA 320, PUBA 341 or SSCI 210).
The Noʻeau Center tutors can help students refresh their skills prior to taking the COMPASS math test for placement into statistics. Please call 689-2750 for an appointment.
To schedule a COMPASS test, students should call Student Services at 689-2752.
Prerequisite changes for UHWO Statistics classes effective Fall 2010:
For BUSA 320 and SSCI 210, the prerequisite is MATH 103 with at least a C- or higher; a COMPASS Algebra score of 75 or higher; or COMPASS College Algebra score of 56 or higher.
For PUBA 341, the prerequisite is MATH 100 or higher MATH with a C or above; or COMPASS Algebra score of 50 or higher.
