Online Tutoring
We now have two options for online tutoring: Blackboard Collaborate (formerly Elluminate), and Email.
About Blackboard Collaborate
Blackboard Collaborate is an easy-to-use conferencing website. To use it you need a personal computer with internet connection.
With Blackboard Collaborate, our helpful tutors provide you with feedback on your writing, help with math, statistics, and economics. More subjects will be added.
You don't need to come to our Center; you’ll log onto the Blackboard Collaborate link and have a 30-60 minute session with one of our tutors.
How to use Blackboard Collaborate:
1. Schedule an appointment by calling 689-2750 or emailing uhwowc@hawaii.edu. Our staff will call or email you back to confirm the session time.
2. At the scheduled time, go to the Noʻeau website and find your Blackboard Collaborate link on this page. Log on!

The Blackboard Collaborate screen shows your paper (or homework), and both you and the tutor can write on it and talk about it. You can question the tutor directly using either a microphone (if you have one) or typing in a chat box.
About Email tutoring:
Fill out and email the submission form on this link and attach your paper. A writing tutor will give you feedback for revision. Please allow 48 hours for our staff to get back to you. As we are closed on Friday, papers submitted on Thursdays will not be reviewed until Monday.
