University of Hawaiʻi — West Oʻahu

Freshman Orientation is free and consists of two parts:

Part One: Freshman Advising & Registration
At Freshman Orientation sessions, presented by PUEO Leaders, students receive assistance with class registration, academic advising, an introduction to student life at UHWO, and other valuable information. PUEO Leaders know "the ropes" and help freshmen get the most out of their college experience. By attending New Student Orientation you are guaranteed a full class schedule for the Fall semester. Orientation is mandatory for all freshmen and is held on selected dates throughout the summer.

Part Two: Orientation
When you register for an Advising and Registration session you will automatically be registered for Pūnua Orientation. This 2 day orientation session will comprise learning strategies for success, meeting with faculty/staff, degree requirements and academic planning, student life, connecting students to resources and basically everything a student needs to know before the first day of class.

ʻOhana Orientation (Parent and Family Orientation)

Parents and Family Members of new students are invited to attend and have the opportunity to meet UH West Oʻahu administrators, faculty, staff and current UHWO students to ask questions, learn tips on how to support your student, and learn about campus support services. Includes a campus tour.

Transfer Orientation

Transfer student orientation is free and provides advising and early registration. The information covered allows transfer students to be ready for the first day of class.
