The University of Hawai‘i – West O‘ahu (UHWO) affirms its commitment to promote the University’s policy of Non-discrimination and Affirmative Action. The Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action office oversees the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the UHWO.

The office also provides services to the UHWO campus, including:

  • advising departments and search committees on recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce
  • preparing annual affirmative action plan reports
  • investigating and resolving complaints

The EEO/AA Office offers a web-based Title IX/Sexual Harassment course for all faculty, students and staff of the UH System. The self-paced program takes about 2 hours to complete and provides a convenient opportunity to learn about sexual harassment and how to prevent it.

Employees who would like to request a reasonable accommodation should complete the UWHO Request for an Accommodation Form and return it to the UHWO Human Resources Office.
